Droidcon London 2015

Droidcon London 2015

Droidcon London was a success once more. The conference is becoming larger and more vibrant every year. I've presented "The Jack and Jill build system". You can find the slides below. It was a pleasant surprise to see so many developers interested in such a low-level topic -- although it will have an impact on our development lives! As always, it was a pleasure to talk face to face with many users of ProGuard and DexGuard.

The two days and five parallel sessions covered a broad range of topics. One of my favorites this year was a barcamp presentation by Madis Pink, on improving the performance of Android Gradle builds. Jon Reeve gave a nicely balanced presentation on reverse engineering, with an excellent introduction to the standard tools. Jake Wharton filled the room with his plea for more concise development with Kotlin. Martino Luca presented his work on Infer at Facebook, applying smart techniques to catch stupid bugs before they hit your users. Thanks to the organizers for a great event!
